TOP TEN ALBUMS OF 08
As the year comes to a close, we should reflect on what we're thankful for. I can't lie; we got this idea from NPR's All Songs Considered podcast (which we highly recommend). The hosts aptly describe 2008 as "an impressively bearded year."
You can download a list of 100 albums by clicking on the "vote" link in this article, and you even download the podcast, if you want! I would.
Here's Devon's top 10 list, in no particular order :
Islands' Arm's Way
Jenny Lewis' Acid Tongue
Bon Iver's For Emma, Forever Ago
Dr. Dog's Fate
Conor Oberst's Conor Oberst
Vampire Weekend's Vampire Weekend
Fleet Foxes' Fleet Foxes
Human Highway's Moody Motorcycle
Jack's Mannequin's The Glass Passenger
The Decemberists' Always a Bridesmaid EP
what's yours look like?
Labels:

Soupers, it's been a pleasure and a privilege playing the Alphabet Soup game with you this semester. Thanks for listening to us, despite all the talk about ska dancing.
*BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!*
Join us next weekend, on Saturday December 13 from 5-6pm EST, for a special Alphabet Soup "cram jam" broadcast! Listen in to hear two shiny, new things:
1. Chicken Lips is taking over! Her very first full playlist, all by herself!
2. Our exclusive interview with Ezra Koenig, the frontman of VAMPIRE WEEKEND!
DID YOU HEAR ME? VAMPIRE WEEKEND!!
DON'T FORGET: SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13, 5-6pm EST!
ONLY ON ALPHABET SOUP, ON WTBURADIO.ORG!
