Pretty self-explanatory. Maybe we'll play some songs about Lebron, disappointment, selling-out, etc. (get it? Miami HEAT??).
More likely: songs about heat, hotness, hotties, plus a little bit of good songs that start with the letter H.
Get your requests ready, and we'll see you tomorrow (at 10 pm, www.wtburadio.org)

Ta-dah!! Now you can relive the magic of Alphabet Soup broadcasts over and over again. Although you should still listen in to catch our witty commentary and hilarious anecdotes.
We're still perfecting our "Songs that will play at my wedding" playlists...so keep watching the blog to learn what songs to blast with a boom box held over your head outside of our windows to automatically win our hearts. (Are you listening, John Cusack??)
See you on the radio!! (TUESDAY, AT 10PM)

That is right soupers. We are changing things up just a little bit. This semester we are going to pick a letter with a corresponding word theme. Next week it will be M for mmmooooovvvment! We are going to be more flexible about the letter each song starts with in exchange for a more thematic show. At least for now!

Hello, hello. It has been quite a while since I've posted. Kayleigh and Claire held it down while Chelsea and I were abroad, but we're back and better than ever!.* Since it's a new semester, we figured we'd shake things up a little bit on Alphabet Soup. At least for tomorrow, the theme of the show is Start, as in beginnings, new stuff, etc. Maybe by the end of the semester we'll pick harder words to improve your vocabulary (the GRE words are fresh in a certain DJ's mind), or maybe half an hour in we'll run out of themed songs, and revert back to our old ways of playing songs that start with S. WHO KNOWS?? TUNE IN AND FIND OUT!!
In case you've forgotten, stream us LIVE tomorrow (TUESDAY) from 10pm-12am on www.WTBUradio.org, IM us at WTBUradioDJ or call us in the studio at 617-353-6400 if you can think of any Start themed songs.

-Lounge Piano: Babaar. I’ve been told this is more complicated to make than a mash up. So I don’t know what it is but I like it!
-Last Request: I had no idea Paulo Nutini was so young! Wow! And I think Kayleigh is right he has an accent. You can really hear it in the video!
-Laundry Room: I gave you the WHOLE tiny desk concert. Laundry Room is first but why just a little Avett Bros when you can have a lot?
-Bonus!! Passion Pit Sleepyhead ft. PS22 CUTEST EVER!! (Props to Kelsey former video playlist guru)
-Love You Madly: Cake’s music video… cooking pumpkins? I kid you not.

-Knotty Pine: The Dirty Projectors, not with David Bryne, but you lean a little bit about Dark Was The Night. There is a sing along And Vincent Moon (of the Take Away Shows) did the filming.
-Keep Fishin’ Weezer with MUPPETS! It does not get better than Muppets.
-Know your Onion: We played The Shins but I wanted to show you the of Montreal cover.
-Kate: Ben Folds Five. The video is literally just three of them in a bed.
-Keep me in Mind: Little Joy. These guys opened for Regina, they do it unplugged I like it.

-I Can See The Pines are Dancing: AA Bondy is too folk for a twitter and too folk for youtube so you'll have to settle for "I Can See The Pines are Dancing" instead of "Murder of Roses." The good news is he is beautiful!
- Mambo No. 5: Lou Bega is super fly the video is super fly.
- The Who: My Generation, apparently there is a very famous explosion at the end of this video.
- Machine: Anni Rossi sings and plays the viola.
-Modern Girls and Old Fashioned Men: We love Regina. Regina + Hugging The Strokes = enough said.
January 31, 2010
-In the Aeroplane over the sea: A tribute to Anne Frank (Someone got an A on this project)
-Islands: When there were still four members of their band.
-I'm Gonna Be (500 miles): The Proclaimers are some cool cats.
-Into Your Arms: The Lemonheads on "The Jon Stewert Show" Jon is super young!
January 20, 2010
Here it is the video playlist for the first show of 2010! Highlights include:
-Bellatrix is Rubbish: The wizard rock song of the week. The Remus Lupins don’t have a music video, this is a mash up of movie clips.
-Bennie and The Jets: Elton John and Cher. Enough Said.
-Bruises: Chairlift Live. Super Cute.
-Better: Because it is Regina x100
-Blowin’ in The Wind: A very young Bob Dylan.
